The Social Media Collaboration Project: Send Me Your Stuff
I’m sure you have played the game Telephone as a kid, where a message starts off and is whispered ear-to-ear around a circle until it is announced by the last person in line. This week I will be playing the Web 2.0 equivalent of Telephone by creating a mashup based on the content you direct me to or pass along either through commenting on my blog, email, or social networks.
Feel free to send information via Twitter or Facebook too. Please make sure to either send a direct message or include @Dustin_Schmidt in your tweet. For Facebook submissions you may post directly on my wall.
If you find really cool, funny, insightful, quality content, or have something from your own blog or website you want to share, get it to me by any means necessary, and I will fuse it into a thematic blog post with a back link to the source. Send over anything you want. From a Weekly Wrapup of Web Technology to an article from The National Enquirer on Boozy Rip Torn Robbing a Bank, all content is fair game. The post will be live by Friday February 5th at 2:00pm EST.
My goal is to accomplish a few things:
- Hear more about what my friends and followers are checking out on the web;
- Highlight and promote websites and blogs that might be under the radar; and
- Exercise my creativity by having to focus on specific material that you provide.
This should be an interesting experiment and I can’t wait to see what everyone passes along. Let the sharing begin!
